Mom's Recipes 3

This was the first recipe in the file, but I think the vintage is the seventies. Don't remember having it as a kid, but I vaguely recall sitting at the round oak table in Lufkin and discussing the miracle of tuna transformed into chicken and potato chips into something bread-like. Dumplings? It's typed, the only one, and I never knew of Mother typing anything. Also, caps not as consistent as usual and those dashes--they seem to be used in place of periods and commas. I don't know who Pauline is.

Pauline's Tuna Casserole
1 Can Tuna
1 Can cream of mushroom soup
1 tall can carnation
pepper
1 29 cent* Pkg. Potato chips
Flake Tuna, add soup & milk-mix well
add milk-pepper-fold in potato chips-
pour into greased casserole- Bake 20 to 30
minutes in 350 oven- Last 10 min top with
grated cheese if desired-
* 29 cent crossed out. 59 cent added in pencil.

I really want to make this for my husband but I cannot find the 29 cent OR the 59 cent bag of chips anywhere. Oh well. Karen

How about buying one for 2.36 and just using a fourth of it? Or one for 2.99 and figuring out how much is 59 cents worth?

PS. I hope that helps.
