Mom's Recipes 4

I think this was someone's favorite. Not sure who. Gregg? On the back of the index card it says "Mom's (Ma Maw)." In other words, Mother's mother, aka Addie Castle.

Date Loaf

4 cups sugar
1 can Pet milk--large can
1 dash salt Cook until forms
a ball
Add box Dates--almost--cut up
2 cup nuts or more (chopped)
Cook until done--like candy
Beat until thick
Roll in wet towel & put in freezer
dept. of ref. until cool.
